Notice: All Sam Houston boat tours are currently cancelled until further notice.  Tours will resume once conditions allow for safe navigation from our dock and into the Houston Ship Channel.  Port Houston is working to address the situation as quickly as possible, and we look forward to welcoming back visitors on our tours as soon as possible.

Come aboard for a one-of-a-kind, waterborne voyage that provides a unique and educational introduction to the Houston Ship Channel, home to one of the busiest and most diverse ports in the world. Port Houston’s free, public tour provides individuals and groups a fantastic opportunity to experience, first-hand, one of the region’s greatest economic contributors.

Reservations are required in advance and can be made online here at any time, or by calling 713-670-2416, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please be advised that if our reservation system does not allow you to make a booking it could be because you are asking for more seats than we have available seating or due to the M/V Sam Houston reaching full capacity.  Please call 713-670-2631 to check for any cancellations. Note: Reservations are only available 90 days from the present date. To book a date more than 90 days in advance, please contact the Sam Houston team at 713-670-2416.

If you would like to update an existing reservation, please send your update to or you may fax your update to 713-670-2629.
