Rail Ramp Information

The rail ramp consists of 42.1 acres with four working tracks (each approximately 2,700 feet in length), five storage tracks (each approximately 2,250 feet in length) and 730 wheeled container spaces. The entire facility is paved with concrete and sustains wheeled operations only. The container handling method is three Mi-Jack 1000R series overhead cranes and each capable of 30 moves per hour.

The rail facility is near the Barbours Cut container terminal dock (not on the dock side).

Rail ramp hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The rail facility is currently operated by ITS Technologies on Contract and the primary railroad companies are BNSF, UP and PTRA.
