Port Houston uses a customer service portal, Lynx, to provide valuable information to our customers. Learn more about our Lynx portal.

You can pay for terminal services via check or through a payment guarantee in Lynx. You must have a credit account with Port Houston in order to guarantee payments. Any questions regarding payment details are answered through the terminal’s Yard Services desks.

We require that hazardous documentation is received and confirmed prior to the container’s arrival at the Port. All documents can be emailed to [email protected]. Additional hazardous documentation requirements can be reviewed here.

We continue to serve trucks in 60 minutes or less at our container terminals with an average five minute queue time at the ingate. For a faster ingate process, we encourage truckers to utilize ExpressPass.

Multi-Purpose, Breakbulk and Project Cargo FAQs

You will need a Dock Receipt/Pick-Up Order. This paperwork must contain the vessel name, description of commodities, and the bill of lading number.

Please call the Port Houston Executive Office at 713-670-2400 and ask for Customer Billing.

Please note Class 1.4 explosive cargo will not be allowed on the terminal (per the tariff) until the day of the vessel’s arrival. Also, radioactive material (Class 7) must meet shipping and handling requirements, and will only be accepted after documents have been submitted and approved by the Port Fire Chief.
