Ricardo Arias, trade development manager for Port Houston, provided an overview of the port at the Small Business Administration’s Export Workshop at the Fort Bend County Small Business Development Center Jan. 4.

Port Houston facilities, infrastructure developments, the port’s external website as well as other helpful resources for exporters were topics discussed at the event.

“These entrepreneurs are learning our role in facilitating exports and driving economic prosperity to the region. Houston is a dynamic place for international business, and there are many opportunities available for companies interested in expanding their market share,” said Arias.

The SBA offers a variety of loan guarantee programs to assist existing and potential businesses to start, grow and expand export loans.
