Maren Schroeder
President
Maren Schroeder has been serving as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Stolt Tankers since June 2024. Before assuming this role, she was the Managing Director of Shipowning at Stolt Tankers, based at their Rotterdam headquarters in the Netherlands. During her tenure, she oversaw ship management operations and newbuilding activities for Stolt Tankers’ managed fleet, which includes over 100 deep-sea and regional chemical tankers. Ms. Schroeder led a team of 135 shore staff distributed across Rotterdam, Manila, Houston, and Singapore, as well as 4,100 sea staff in the fleet.
Ms. Schroeder joined Stolt Tankers in 2019 as Fleet Director, where she was responsible for ensuring the safe and cost-effective operation of the company’s fleet.
Prior to joining Stolt Tankers, she held the position of Technical Head at Vroon, following a career in technical, fleet management, and surveying roles for companies such as Exmar, Euronav, and Germanischer Lloyd in Belgium and Germany.
A 2004 graduate of the University of Rostock in marine engineering and naval architecture, Ms. Schroeder holds an executive MBA from WHU/Kellogg School of Management and is also an alumna of Harvard Business School.
Her extensive leadership experience is complemented by her active participation in industry organizations, having joined the Board of ITOPF in December 2022 and serving as a Board Member of INTERTANKO.
