In 2022, Port Houston celebrated the arrival of three new Neopanamax (ship-to-shore) cranes to our Bayport Container Terminal. These cranes will be our largest to date standing 40 stories tall with boom fully raised and outreach 186.5 feet across.
2022 is made for the Port Houston history books. Three of the original STS cranes brought to Bayport Container Terminal in 2007 are moved to Barbours Cut Container Terminal. This relocation supports added capacity and makes way for new larger STS cranes.
Port Houston is located in the Lone Star State. We’re the largest port on the Gulf Coast, the biggest port in Texas, and the only port in Houston. Learn all about Port Houston and its important functions.
