INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Building Your
Future Career
With Port Houston

The internship program at Port Houston offers a unique, well-rounded experience to assist early career talent looking for opportunities in the maritime and supply chain industries. Interns will learn about the essential economic engine that makes Houston grow and gain hands-on experience in their desired field. Interns will work with various departments at the Port and gain a full perspective on how successful maritime institutions work.

The Internship Experience

Students who are accepted into the program will gain practical experience working across various departments at Port Houston. Students will apply, evaluate, and incorporate their academic knowledge into a real work setting.

Our team will encourage students to take a greater responsibility for their education and life by developing self-reliance, personal style, values and beliefs. Students will also expand their knowledge about themselves and their abilities, goals, and career interests in a practical environment.

Upon successful completion of the program, interns become eligible to apply and interview for open roles across Port Houston. Interns are provided guidance and support by the Port Houston team members throughout the process.
