The Media Relations department organizes and coordinates all media interviews and press for Port Houston. Whether the story is broadcast, radio, or print, a Media Relations representative will assist with your coverage needs. Our executives and employees have been featured in international magazines, popular news programs, and trade segments around the world.

For urgent media inquiries outside of regular business hours, media may call 713-670-3620. Please include your name, news organization, phone number, email address, and a brief description of the inquiry. Calls will be returned as soon as possible.

About the Houston Ship Channel
The Houston Ship Channel complex is a 52-mile federal waterway with more than 200 private and eight public terminals. Port Houston owns and operates the eight public facilities along the channel, including the area’s largest breakbulk facility and two of the most efficient container terminals in the nation.

Please note: The U.S. Coast Guard “Captain of the Port” is responsible for decisions regarding the opening and closing of the Houston Ship Channel.
