Parker Harrison joined the Port Houston team in September 2025 and in her role as Chief Legal Officer she oversees legal, records, and compliance functions. She has nearly 25 years of experience in maritime law, enterprise risk management, and corporate governance.
Before joining Port Houston, Harrison held progressive leadership roles at Crowley Maritime, culminating as Chief Legal and Risk Officer, Corporate Secretary. In that role, she provided strategic counsel on complex legal, regulatory, and business matters while leading multidisciplinary teams across legal, insurance, government relations, sustainability, safety, and ethics. She guided enterprise risk management initiatives, advanced government advocacy, and played a key role in mergers, acquisitions, and dispute resolution. Earlier in her career, she practiced admiralty and maritime law with Chaffe McCall, LLP, and served as Vice President and FD&D Manager at Shipowners Claims Bureau, Inc.
Harrison has also served in leadership roles with several industry organizations. She was a longtime member of the Board and later served as President of the U.S. Chapter of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA) and currently serves on its Advisory Council. She has been a board member of Signal Mutual Indemnity Association, Ltd., and the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, as well as a Trustee of the Coast Guard Foundation. She is also a Proctor Member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States and serves on the Advisory Board of Women Offshore.
She earned a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Tulane Law School with a certificate in maritime law and recognition for excellence in admiralty. She also earned both a Master of Arts in Italian and a Bachelor of Arts in Italian and German from the University of Virginia.
