Come aboard for a one-of-a-kind, waterborne voyage that provides a unique and educational introduction to the Houston Ship Channel, home to one of the busiest and most diverse ports in the world. Port Houston’s free, public tour provides individuals and groups a fantastic opportunity to experience, first-hand, one of the region’s greatest economic contributors.

Reservations are required in advance and can be made online here at any time, or by calling 713-670-2631, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Please be advised: Masks are required for all passengers aged two (2) or older while aboard the Sam Houston Boat Tour. Port Houston continues to require masks on the boat in compliance with the federal mask mandate that applies to transportation hubs and conveyances (e.g., seaports, airports, bus terminals). Masks are recommended (though not required) at the dockside Sam Houston Landing while passengers wait to board. Anyone with a confirmed reservation who (a) is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, (b) is COVID-positive, or (c) is unvaccinated and has been recently exposed to someone confirmed or suspected COVID-positive should contact the Sam Houston team at 713-670-2361 to reschedule their tour.

Reservations are only available 90 days from the present date.

If you have any questions about a current reservation or would like to inquire about a tour date more than 90 in advance, please contact the Sam Houston team at 713-670-2631 or samreservations@porthouston.com.
