Port Houston Speaks Your Language
To advance the presence of Port Houston as a leading North America gateway for trade, our team connects customers with Houston’s many economic development organizations that assist businesses in relocating, helping to obtain tax breaks, as well as other financial incentives.
The trade development team organizes, sponsors, and attends industry-related events which can be found on our calendar. All international inquiries are welcome. Our team speaks multiple languages including Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, and Chinese. Port Houston also has trade development representatives based globally throughout Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
We Drive Excellence
Port Houston is a proud recipient of the President’s E-Star Award for export service excellence presented by President Bush and Secretary of Commerce Gutierrez in 2008. The E-Star award dates back to World War II and it presents U.S. organizations with a flag with the letter “E” symbolizing excellence, to honor and recognize America’s exporters.
The E-Star Award marks the second time Port Houston has been recognized for its export trade programs. The first, in 1981, was the “E-Award”. A company receives the E-Star after it has previously received the E-Award, and no recipient can be recognized more than twice.
